When I was little, games were one of the main things I could think about. They showed me ways to have fun and provided a creative outlet that I could learn from. I didn’t care about the weather when playing sports, or how many hours it would take me to complete the latest role-playing video game. What really mattered was the experience of feeling that I was part of something bigger than myself; winning a big sports game with my teammates, commanding an entire army when playing board games or being Hyrule’s only hope. The excitement, responsibility and sense of belonging were reasons that kept me attached to the idea of giving my best while having fun.
